Mapping: Job Growth/Forecast

Mapping for Job Growth

  1. Go to Score Options in the navigation bar.
  2. From the Market Level dropdown menu, select Micro (Tract).
  3. Go to Advanced at the bottom.
  4. Select Growth tab.
  5. In the search bar, type “Employment” to look for Total Employment for All Jobs. You can also scroll down to find it under the Talent category.
  6. 💡
    Total Employment for All Jobs under Growth tab refers to the avg. year-over-year growth for the recent 3 years of residents that are employed.

  7. Select Total Employment for All Jobs and hit Update.
  8. The map will reflect your results. You can either zoom in (at least level 7) onto a highlighted area and hit Search This Area button at the center of the map, or look up by MSA name.

  10. To look up a specific MSA, hit icon next to Search This Area.
  11. Type in the MSA name. You can also search multiple MSAs at one time.
  12. Hit Search. You will see the MSA area you searched colored in. If you cannot see your results, zoom in at level 7 or more onto the approximate area of your MSA.

Mapping for Job Forecast

  1. Go to Forecast tab next to Growth.
  2. Search “Employment” and click Employment Forecast YoY Change % (2022-2025).
  3. 💡
    Employment Forecast YoY Change % (2022-2025) refers to employment forecast (year-over-year growth for the next 3 years during 2022-2025).
